Most Inspiring Accountant 2022 announced

We are delighted to announce the winner of the AVN Most Inspiring Accountant Award 2022. And for the first time ever it’s not a UK based accountancy firm.

Johannesburg firm, Primorial Solutions, beat 7 other finalists in a vote by the audience of the popular AVN Accountants Helping Accountants webinar on 20th October.

Hazel Bango-Moyo, founder and CEO of Primorial, was thrilled to have won.

“I’m actually speechless! You inherently feel the growth that has happened, but you don’t often take stock and look back and say what were my personal goals and wow, how far I’ve actually come.”

“I still feel like there’s so much growth and so much more we need to do. So I’m very appreciative of this vote of confidence in me.”

Hazel set up Primorial in 2017, with the goal of helping all kinds of businesses in her area. This includes micro entities that would not normally be able to fund an accountant.

In 2021 Xero featured her in their celebration of female business leaders during South African Women’s Month.

Emma Slack, AVN Practice Growth Expert, said:

“I have worked with Hazel since February 2021 and have loved every minute. She is a woman full of energy, someone who takes on board all suggestions and then works hard to make it happen.”

“Hazel thoroughly deserves this award. She is truly an inspiring woman and an inspiring accountant.”

The other finalists in the awards were EP Tax, Wiltshire; Cunninghams, Suffolk; Heighten Accountants, London; Heelan Associates, Hampshire; Clearstone Business Services, London; Brown & Co, Lancashire; and Dawn McLaughlin & Co, Northern Ireland.

The webinar recording is available to watch here (it is also available on the AVN KnowHow Hub for AVN members and Hub subscribers).
